Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and castoutlabs ("we") covering your use of the game Echoes of Time: The Traveller (the "App"). By downloading or playing the App you agree to them. They exist to keep things fair and clear — the plain-English summary of each section is accurate.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and play the App on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own enjoyment. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

2. The one-time unlock

The first two chapters and the daily challenge are free. A single optional in-app purchase ("The Complete Journey") permanently unlocks all remaining stages on your Apple account. It is a one-time payment — not a subscription — and can be restored on any device signed into the same Apple account using "Restore Purchase" in the App's settings. All payments and refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies; refund requests are made through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

3. What you may not do

• Redistribute, resell, or rehost the App or its assets;
• Reverse-engineer or modify the App except where law permits;
• Use the App's art, music, name, or levels in your own products without permission.

4. Ownership

The App — including its code, puzzle designs, artwork, and procedurally generated music — is owned by castoutlabs and protected by copyright law. Buying the unlock buys access, not ownership of the underlying work.

5. No warranty

The App is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it bug-free, but we cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, and we disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, castoutlabs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

7. Changes

If we update these terms, we will change the effective date above and, for material changes, note them in the App's update notes. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
